Art Dump #2

Hello everyone! I now return with the second and long overdue part of my art dump. (You’re welcome.)

Anyhow, enjoy.

Guess who? Only my favorite ball of angst, Jax.

Cutest ship ever…. Jax & Vyrn from my WIP, Firemaster. Will someday be completed in watercolor. But today is not that day. *insert epic Aragorn gif*

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when Kirin(my MC) fire-bends, this is what his eyes look like. Sorry for the blurry photo.

Jax again…. he’s my favorite. XD This one’s a character sketch.

More Jax fanart…. depressing fanart, to. Oh well. Watercolor.

Unfinished fanart of future novel: Shape-shifter prince and human princess. An epic re-telling of Beauty & The Beast like you’ve never seen before. *confetti*

Random guy… I was working on my profile sketch, and this is what came out of it.

Gate designs for the world of Firemaster

This one I’m rather proud of. It was the first time I’d sketched more than doodles with brush pens, and I think it turned out really well. In fact, it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever drawn.
20180525_210118
A random sylph.(I think? Cat boy? Neko? Whatever.)
20180525_210716
Guess what? More eyes. This time in brush pen. I bought a set of three from Micheal’s and promptly went on a brush-pen art splurge. It’s supposed to be Jax(top, blue) and Vyrn(bottom, red).

Dragon eye and shadow study on eyes. Charcoal.
20180525_210658
Steampunk Obito! (If any of you know what I’m talking about, here’s some cyber chocolate and all seasons of Naruto in special edition. XD)

World Domination For Cats. Prismacolor Colored Pencils.
20180525_210756
Firemaster fanart! So, you remember how I talked about Kirin being able to manipulate fire? Well, here’s all the abilities that benders–called Masters–can do. Each person only has one ability, and when they use it, their eyes change like shown above^^
20180525_210736
MC eyes! From the top: Shadow, Vyrn(ya, I know she’s not finished.), Jax, and Kirin. Both Shadow and Kirin are masters, which is why I made their eyes like that. See if you can find out what Shadow is. 😉
20180525_210308
Jax. Again. Poor guy, I really can’t not draw him. He’s so fun to draw. But this did start out as just another profile workout to perfect my manga profiling. Then it changed into a character sketch of Jax…. XD
20180525_210813
A random… thing. I have no idea what it is. Some sort of fox-wolf-spirit thing from Japanese or Chinese mythology. I believe the actually name is Kitsune, but I could be wrong. And don’t ask me why I drew it… or why there’s a saddle. I claim no knowledge.
20180525_210351
Can anyone guess who this is? (Come on, there’s got to be at least one anime freak among you.) Fine. Don’t know? It’s Colonel Roy Mustang, from Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood. Shame on you for not knowing.
20180525_205706
Now this here, is a spoiler. Remember that serial story I said I was writing? Here’s the MC. Kija, Second Prince of Iskra(working name), son of King Kazuko Kaien. And yes, there’s a reason he’s got those tattoos and why one eyes is lighter than the other. You’ll find out eventually. I did not just put them in there cause they look cool. *shakes head*

And there you have it. The latest art from this here dragon. Like it? Hate it? Tell me.

And if any of you know who Roy Mustang and Obito are…. talk to me. I’ve been sadly deprived of fellow fandom freaks lately.

Ever onward, upward, and forward;

~Sarah

    • Whoops, I shouldn’t have asked you that. Half the drawings are of anime characters. XD
I’m a fellow anime fan! Although I’m not part of all your fandoms… Fullmetal Alchemist and Naruto are on my to-be-read manga list. Do you think I’ll enjoy them? I’d love to hear about some of your other shounen fandoms too! 😀 SO happy to have found you!

          • Well, you mean like a blurb, or….
FMA is basically about alchemy. The MC is a 14 year old prodigy alchemist, who along with his younger brother, of trying to find a legendary object called the philosopher’s stone.
            It’s a fun show. I really like it. 🙂

            • Ooh, you were talking about Fullmetal Alchemist? I thought FMA stood for something else. XD
I’ve heard a ton about it! Haven’t started yet though. I was thinking about it just a couple days back. Thanks for the recommendation!

          • Hm… the manga has the original story in it, I guess? Because the anime is usually just a remake of the manga. Sometimes the two are totally different (like in Bleach). Plus you can read more than you can watch in a period of time (or so I believe -_- ), and quicker!
Sometimes the anime is better because the story becomes easier to understand, like maybe Fairy Tail and One Piece.

            • Hm… I suppose. And I like all the little author notes in manga. But I love the music and animation in anime. Plus there are a bunch of great anime films that don’t have a manga, as well as shows, like Your Lie in April and Code Geass. 😉

                • Oh, really? I tried finding the manga but couldn’t, so I thought it must not have one. And it’s got a lot of music in it, and that’s rather hard to pull off in manga. 😉

                    • Yes, you should. The music and animation is gorgeous!!!
Ah. I’ll check for the manga now. I don’t usually read manga unless one of my favorite shows has manga after the show, or the anime never covered all the manga(like in Akatsuki no Yona) so I can get the full story, but I’d like to get into it more.
What’s your favorite manga/anime so far?

                      Liked by 1 person

                    • I will! Yeah, cool. Would you recommend Akatsuki no Yona?
So far, probably One Piece? It’s… really weird, and has really weird characters, but I’m attached to them somehow. 😉 I also love Koe no Katachi. I’ve read the manga and watched the movie, both are pretty good.
Currently all the manga I’m reading are action/shounen!

                    • Akatsuki no Yona is awesome. The manga is good as well. You should totally watch it.
I haven’t seen One Peice, but it’s on my to be watched list.
Koe no Katachi is the best! It makes me cry every time. I love it. In fact, it’s probably one of my favorite animes.

                    • Ya, you should. Have you heard of Akagami no Shirayukihime(Snow White With The Red Hair)? It’s really good to.
Yuzuru is funny. I think I like Ishida the best, but he’s the MC so that’s probably pretty normal. 😉

                    • Mm… never herd of it. I’ll check it out. How about Ao Haru Ride, you heard of it? It’s pretty popular, and I though it was good though I don’t read shoujo much.

                    • Well, ya, and I prefer the style more like Naruto/etc for anime art.
No problem! I love chatting about fandom, so if you ever just want to rant about anime and other fandom, talk to me! XD 😉

  1. I forgot to tell you how much I love the cat reading a book on world domination. The look on the cat’s face. All those new terms and graphs. Confusing… hmmm… 😀
It reminds my of the new geico commercial which has become my favorite.
    It was something like,
Hero tied to chair with a giant sci-fi pointed at him. “Get this over with.”
Villain. “Of course, but first a little presentation.”
Two people roll in a white board and a projector. Villain presses his remote to start the slides on the board. “To drill into the earth’s core. First, Choosing the right drill bit…”
As long as villain reveal their plans you can save 15% or more on car insurance. XP
    Your art is amazing. 🙂

  2. I am in awe of your stuff. I mean, really. These are fantastic. (Though really, what should I expect from a bearer of such a resplendent personality type) And you draw some seriously epic eyes.

Also, Jax looks like he has an incredibly tragic life. You really need to be nicer to that poor boy.

Also, I’m sorry I’m not an anime freak and have no idea who those people are. I’m sure they’re very nice.

    • Thanks! Yes, we INTJs must be masters in nearly all areas…. other than emotion, of course. 😉
Jax has the most tragic life you will ever see. Cry for him.
Aw, no anime? Sad. *shakes head* You have missed out on a great deal of life.
As for those people being nice…. well, Roy is part of my favorite ship of all time(plus he’s awesome) and Obito… Obito is a future villain. A really bad villain. Like–destroy the world villain. So ya, nice…. *chuckles* Not so much.

  3. Wow… Those are really really good. I can’t wait for your book. ;3

Unfortunately I don’t read those series, I only read comics that I can find the entire series for. It’s hard to find good ones. But I found Astro boy, have you read those?

      • It’s pretty good. I read an intro about it that explained that the author would insert a goofy looking character when he felt things were becoming too serious. The translation is “Here to meet you” 😀
There’s some battles, but it’s comedic, nothing too serious or bloody.
It’s sci-fi. Pretty clean as far as I’ve read, especially compared to nowadays.
There’s a movie, that’s why I got the comics. I think the movie was pretty good, but it’s been several years since I saw it.
        I would recommend the series.

          • Umm… the library? That’s where I tend to get stuff. 🤗
The books I found are by Dark Horse publishing. The author’s name is Osamu Tezuka. They are translated from Japanese. There’s also a really old tv series from the 60’s and a newer one. I haven’t seen either of them. It shouldn’t be too hard to find even by web search.
